Blog post #5: Off-color

Cameron met a girl that worked With her mom, named Asia. Asia was one of the project girls that were in the mall, but Asia said they were just messing with them. Asia then introduces Cameron to some of the other girls that she's friends with. Cameron gets her braided back in cornrows by one girl, but her mom likes it. Cameron's about to turn sixteen and they're going to have a party (Cameron and her new friends). At the party everyone was dancing and playing loud music and having fun. There was a lot of boys, and girls there and it was packed. Then the old woman that met's grandson was coming down to bring Cameron her present. They introduced themselves to each other and became good friends, and then more.

  1. Briston-
Cameron has been through a lot in her life. Do you think it really matters what color she is? Or do you think it matters to her? Based on her experiences I might think it would help her create an identity for herself in her new "world."
